Module 2A-4 activity 1 -Reflection: The role of the teacher

Collaborating a document online was a different approach to information sharing but was quite helpful.  I see the role of a teacher as  a very important and interesting one.  We are at the fore of the nation's development and with that in mind I believe that we should take on our responsibilities with great pride and determination.

We have come to a time that demands more that getting ready and being present in the classrooms.  We have got to be aware, dedicated, knowledgeable, and committed in ensuring that the work we do really reaches all of our students, while at the same time its effectiveness is realized.  The need for proper planning is critical so that we can tap into the various learning skills of our students.  As teachers we have got to continually update our skills so that we are in the position to impart the best to our students, which will be beneficial to nation building.   Our school plants are not all equally equipped with the necessities that will enable smooth delivery of content but we have a duty to ensure that despite our limitations, we do the best job on  a daily basis. 

These seven rolls of a teacher should be viewed often to keep our minds fresh and assist us in our daily activities as teachers.

Module 2A-4: activity 11 - Creating a Personal Learning Network

Creating a PLN has been a very engaging exercise for me. Knowing that I can communicate and collaborate with like minds across the world while integrating ICT in our teaching/learning environment makes me excited.
