Module 8 Activity 4 - One Computer Classroom

There are many benefits that have been posited about the use of a One Computer Classroom.  It cannot be over stated that there is a great need for proper planning and preparation when exposed to this type of teaching/learning environment.

The facilitator must be creative while conducting lessons in this type of learning environment.  Care must be taken to ensure that the learners are all getting a chance to be engaged while benefitting from the technology.
Careful planning is a MUST so that no child becomes bored and loses out on knowledge.

One way of improving on the attention aspect is to connect the computer to a large-screen television or an overhead projector.  This usually allows for whole-class engagement.

A one-computer classroom can be just as effective as a learning lab if proper planning is done in advance, so that the needs of the learners are met.
